                                     Sometimes.
To some, it's music -to others, it's what a friend of mine calls:

...some kind of art or poetry accompanied by musical instruments not
always played correctly or in harmony... it's some kind of art -maybe not all
music, but it's an art -and it has the right to exist."

To me, it's what it has to be. I am not a formally trained musician by any
stretch of the imagination, nor do I claim to be. I write and orate stories,
scoring them with sound. Some pieces are more musical than others, and
can even be considered songs.

Once a melody, bassline, drum track, etc. comes to mind, I go to my
instruments and figure out how to play it, note by note. Then I start recording
and layering tracks. Other times, the words come first, and I just lay down a
vocal track and use the instruments to create the proper atmosphere. Pretty
simple, really -but I'll tell you, what an actual trained musician can lay down
in 2 minutes on the first attempt, can take me multiple tracks and
significantly more time. It's a labor of love. As long as I'm able to get it down
just enough to pull it off live for you guys, right?

Influences include, (but are not limited to):

    Dreams

Art that I've created in other fields

Music of the 1980s, particularly New Wave, Dark Wave, Post-Punk,
Ambient, and some Gothic Stuff (Xymox).

I also enjoy, Jazz, Soul, and Big Band Music; even at times (although not
recent) The Wu-Tang Clan, who should not be passed over in their own right.

So, whatever you want to call it, it's here for me, and therefore presented to
you. Enjoy it if it suits you.

-Adam.
